The fanciest sea-town of Belgium is without a doubt Knokke-Heist. There are plenty of art galeries and several art pieces are also found on the beach itself. The work on the picture here is of the Belgian artist Folon and is a statue of a sitting man. While it’s not visible with high tide, I was surprised to find it almost completely buried by the sand. This might have something to do with the fact that works to add sand to the coastline were ongoing...
Knokke is the most exclusive sea resort along the 60 kms Altlantic coast of Belgium. Any well-off Belgian will have a flat or a house here. Numerous top art galeries and shops. Enjoy the tides in the summer and the typical little beach cottages rented by the locals to store their beach "stuff".
