"Easy stay, clean room. Free coffee machine use was a plus"

"Self check in was fine, however there was only a phone number to contact, never saw any staff in the hotel except for one when walking past at breakfast. Stayed Saturday & Sunday night, and hardly slept both nights. Saturday, a restaurant next door had music playing until midnight which was fine, what was not expected was to then hear music afterwards from a DJ(?) which sounded like it was coming from below the hotel. "

"Staff at reception great and super helpful. I was in a room that hadn’t been renovated for quite a while but everything was clean. Old school power sockets and not enough of them and no black out blinds or curtains. Super friendly and clean but simple and my room in need of renovation. I’d still stay there again as it’s such a great location and cost effective as well as a lovely lady on reception who couldn’t be more helpful. Thank you! "

"At first I was a little skeptical as this hotel is self-check in and I was concerned about accessing my room however I was pleasantly surprised and very happy that I selected Giessen Hotel and Coffeehouse! There were easy to use directions to check in and the ability to self code a key or more was super easy. The room was clean and comfortable. The best part was breakfast! It was by far the most enjoyable breakfast experience we have had in our travels. The Coffeehouse assigned our table by room number so finding a space was not a problem. The self select menu was perfect and allowed for as much food as you could eat. After you make your breakfast selections, give the list to the staff and they take over. The service was quick and the food was fresh and delicious! The coffee was wonderful and I highly recommend the Ginger Lemon shots! The hotel is also centrally located so getting to the the surrounding sites was also very easy! I highly recommend a stay at the Giessen Hotel and Coffeehouse. "

"The hotel/facility was as described, nothing special but fine, check-in was easy and simple, however I made a mistake when booking (e.g., selecting 1 adult per room rather than 2) which resulted in additional charges during check out. However, the additional charges removed the booking fees from Hotels.com which resulted in a higher open amount. I reached out to Alpine Lodge which they promptly responded but then stopped communicating and did not fix the error after 3 weeks. This resulted in me having to file for a credit dispute with my cardholder rather than getting a refund thorough Alpine Lodge directly. Please beware of any invoice from Alpine Lodge if booking through a third party, as they may also tried to have you pay the booking fees and not support you with a refund if you catch their behavior. "

"The staff at the front desk were terribly Friendly- MS REBECCA, KUSEY (hope I got it right) and the very lovely GM of the hotel. She offered my husband the local beer which was a very kind gesture. We were surprised at the respectfulness, friendliness and everything that you can ask from a front desk staff. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast buffet was delicious. My husband enjoyed the bacon."
