I enjoyed our stay at this family owned place. We had a great meal in their dining room one evening and enjoyed their breakfast too. The room was comfortable with a nice view.
When you are visiting in a land with almost 24 hours of bright day sunlight, you need a place to rest which would at least have dark blinds for the night tine. The blinds were transparent with broad daylight during sleep making it inconvenient place to rest after the day’s hike. Moreover the shower were terrible and hotel staffs were not supportive. Try to avoid this place at any cost for a decent stay.
Quiet hotel in the Icelandic countryside with beautiful nature views. Clean, comfortable, and friendly service. Breakfast is included—just okay. Great for a short, peaceful stop away from the city.
This was a great pit stop for my south coast tour. Awesome employees and a delicious breakfast.
This is in a great remote setting, though I was just passing thru, it would be an excellent spot for several nights.
Highly recommended and would stay at again, thank you!
It’s in a remote and very quiet location but the hotel has all amenities that you might want to have. If you would like to have supermarkets or restaurants nearby then this is not the place. The food in their restaurant, especially the bread they bake there was too good. The shower head wasn’t greatly functional in our room- that’s the only drawback. Otherwise, excellent staff and amenities.
Most of this hotel looks like it was renovated, however we were in an old section and it felt very dated. Rest of hotel had a nice bar area, restaurant, and that felt cozy. Our room was just a bit lackluster.

No complaints about our stay in this hotel. We got a free room upgrade which was nice, there was plenty of parking and the breakfast was lovely. The checkin desk was empty when we arrived and left, so we had to call a number. Part of the shower thermostat had fallen off in the bathroom and everything looked a little tired. Overall we slept well and would stay there again if ever passing through.
great hotel, very well maintained and away from light pollution so we were able to see the northern lights for first time ever, so this place is on my top 3 to stay in iceland
Red alert weather conditions “quarantined” us for an extra day and we weren’t allowed to leave. Even though they lost power for several hours we found it a charming place to stay. Plenty of places to relax and the food was excellent. And they wisely kept the bar open in the dark. 😉
