Very nicely-appointed old home that was relaxing to hang out in after a long day being out and about. The location just east of Kingsville made it a convenient base of operations if venturing to Point Pelee or Windsor. It's a shared kitchen/living rooms where good conversation can ensue among guests but the rooms have en suite bathroom with showers so lots of privacy, too.
My friend and l needed a get away and it was wonderful to stay there. It was affordable and it was my first time at an Inn. It was nice to meet people from Germany there. I would do it again.
Interesting old house. Two beautiful living rooms on the main floor for a rainy day or time to use. Wifi excellent, perfect cell signals.
Gardeners and nature: Close to Point Pelee National Park, Colasanti's Plant Nursery, Vegetable and fruit stands
Wine people: Close to Pelee Island Winery, many other in same county
Climate: most southern town in Canada, surrounded by water, Lake Erie, Detroit River, Lake Saint Clair. Mild Fall and Winter.
We had a wonderful stay at Woodbridge House and decided to extend for a second night. The owners kindly helped us hold it while we considered extending our stay. Our room was clean and unique. Our bathroom sink was an old Vitrola case! We appreciate the coffee and tea and the kitchen was fully prepared with all necessary tools if you chose to cook a meal. This was our first trip to Kingsville and the Peelee Island area. We would definitely return!
Excellent location to stay if you enjoy historic homes. The house is gorgeous. My brother did find it a tad warm to sleep, even though the house has central AC, but he often finds this is the case in our Southern Ontario (aka MidWest US) summers: if that's you, you might want to bring your own small fan to help with keeping cool in a bedroom.. The wifi service was reliable and it was easy to use the kitchen. Staff were easy to communicate with via text and instructions for the property/where to find things were clear. Clean towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap available in room. There is a dining room and 2 lounge/living rooms + porch and fire pit, so you have space to sit and chat apart from other guests other than shut up in your bedroom if you wish.
Gorgeous house with 19th century charm! Cozy rooms, comfy beds, and bright common areas. Host was super friendly and kept property clean and well maintained. I’ve stayed here twice and I know I will stay here again.
The house is at a great location to visit the town and all of the cool wineries. The room was well apointed and the house is beautiful. The owners are friendly and helpful. We had some personal problems and they went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of. I will definately be back. Highly recommend staying here.
A delightful place, very well located. Surprisingly quiet, considering it is on the main highway. On the second night we were the only guests and it was a treat to have the whole house to ourselves. Spacious grounds and fire pit, too! One thing to be aware of: don't bring too many clothes that need hanging. In the room we were in (king bedroom downstairs) there are just a few hooks and hangers on the back of the door. Otherwise there are two places for suitcases and a tall chest of drawers.
We loved the vintage vibe of The Woodbridge! The rooms were very clean and The King size bed was super comfy! The owner, Connie was very hospitable and friendly! We would definitely love to stay again!!
Everything was neat, tidy and well laid out. Room was a good size and on suite bathroom was clean and a good size. House was beautifully decorated and comfortable to relax in while waiting for our dinner reservations. Fairly close to all amenities.
Very unique, historic house. Easy check in with a door code. Loved the bed and the soft sheets it was so comfy. I had an amazing sleep. It was so quiet during the night it was actually almost a little spooky. Bathroom was very small but understandable for the historic nature of the house, they renovated it in such a smart way and the water was hot with good pressure.
This property is stunning! The hostess was gracious and the location convenient. Kingsville is very pretty and a number of great restaurants to choose from were close by.
We really enjoyed our time here. Very neat building that is close to downtown Kingsville. Rome was as described and clean. Would definitely stay here again
We were on the main floor, excellent accommodations, loved the house and room decor, nice little touches, many outside seating options, fire flies in the evening was a welcomed touch, would recommend to anyone and would stay again
Beautiful old house. Very clean, I appreciate no pets allowed. Very quiet, perfect accommodation and walkable to the wedding venue we attended at a winery very close by.
