Pretty well all that remained here after Beeching's Axe had wreaked havock was one track and the bridge. The platforms and station building have all been rebuild by the CVR http://www.churnet-valley-railway.co.uk/ to create this period view.

I have given this 5 star for character - location is super, staff are great, decor of the hotel impressive. Yes the carpets are tired and the entrance needs a spruce but I appreciated the individuality
