「The grounds and the staff were great. The bed was super comfortable and the room appeared to be as well. That is, until it I learned that there was no aircon and they did not have fans. This left me with the option to open the windows the tiny bit they can be opened to cool the room. Unfortunately, this meant a million bugs since there is no netting on the windows. I ultimately had to close the windows, kill as many bugs as I could, and then spend the night alternating between slapping bugs...

「Fantastic hotel; spotlessly clean; and beautifully decorated. The whole place was so quiet and serene. As a solo female traveller, I really appreciated the extra chain on the door. And the toiletries in the bathroom smelled divine. As a copywriter, I loved all of the copy in the lifts and on the in-room pamphlet especially.」

「Beautiful place. We loved the fact that it's 799 years old, thinking about all the people that have come and gone before us enjoying the same space. Pretty grounds right on the river Dee. Old cemetery and remains of a chapel right behind for exploring. Natural beauty all around. Staff was welcoming and helpful. We stayed in a suite and everything met our expectations. Will definitely stay again. Also love that they have a vegan menu in their restaurant! 🌱💚」

「This was a last minute decision to go away for the night and we stumbled upon the Boat Inn while working through Hotels.com. Great place to stay, good pub grub, lovely clean and smart room, dog friendly and very peaceful. The staff were brilliant. And they have EV charging!」
