「Das ganze Hotel ist vernachlässigt........., unglaublich, dass wir für ein Einzelzimmer über 80Euro zahlen mußten. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, aber brauchen Renovierung, besonders die Bäder....... Prima ist die Lage, man kann vieles in der Stadt zu Fuß erledigen oder aber ein TucTuc nutzen. Das Personal war freundlich, aber alles super langsam.......」

「I stayed at Kaliwa Lodge for 4 nights and was impressed by the tranquil and peaceful environment. The terrace is a great place to watch the sacred Mountain Kilimanjaro at different times of the day, and be connected to the nature. I brought along my yoga mat to practise on the terrace every morning. Food is great too, they prepared wonderful vegetarian food for me on request everyday. Staff is very nice and treat every guest with their heart. I really enjoyed staying at Kaliwa Lodge. 」

「No shampoo in washroom, no hot water in sink, towels ragged. There was a weird WiFi system that kept booting us out. Aircon is aimed directly at your head when you lie down.」

「This is a fascinating property that was a pleasure to be in. Muksin and Catherine were great host. The room was excellent. There are some limitations if you have difficulty walking because of the nature of the steps. If you are fully mobile, it will be a wonderful experience.」

「We arrived for a late check in and staff was there to greet us. That was a very nice touch. Staff were excellent. Room was clean and amenities adequate. We were given a room with the view of Kilimanjaro which was an added bonus. Would definitely stay here again. 」
