Awesome place to stay if you’re going to Maui. This is a hotel not a resort, so it’s not quite as grand in scale as some of the big ones on the island. That being said it still maintains the premium Maui vibe. It likely caters more to you if you plan to explore the entirety of the island rather than staying in or near your resort. For me and my wife, this was our place mostly to come back to when gearing up for our next snorkel or beach trip and to sleep after a long day on the Road to Hāna or a beach day out west. It was perfect for that, and we always felt refreshed in the morning and relaxed at night. It also has nice pool area with live music every night and a good enough bar to keep you happy if you want to spend a day/night at the pool or relax by the pool at night after a day out. The location was excellent, conveniently centered to go any direction on the island. The staff was extremely nice and extremely accommodating to every request we had. The room was spacious and clean and had ample storage space for longer trips. The view was pretty good, as long as you understand that the ocean view even from the newer and close Kai tower is still a ways back from the water as a road and some low lying properties are in between the ocean and property. So no ocean sounds from our balcony at least. The pool view, which was also visible from our room, is nice though if people watching is your thing. Would recommend to anyone not planning on staying only in their resort.
