This gateway to Ngorongoro Crater offers coffee plantation tours where you'll learn harvesting techniques from local farmers. Visit nearby Lake Manyara to spot tree-climbing lions or join a cultural tour to meet Iraqw tribe members in their traditional homes.
One of the best lodges we stayed in. No complaints.
Huge comfortable extremely well decorated cabins with magnificent views, impeccable service, very good food. Wishes we planned to stay there longer

Patumu Hotel is well-located near the entrance to Ngorongoro Crater National Park. The hotel is simple with clean rooms and comfortable beds, but a bit dimly lit. The hotel staff was very welcoming and helpful in directing me to local services. There was ample parking and a restaurant.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were looking for a place to buy some groceries and they escorted us there so we didn't get lost. The food was awesome. The bed was very comfortable. We had a great nights sleep.

Absolutely the best hotel I’ve stayed at. I spend generally half the year in hotels for business and this is hands down one of the best I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms are large, spacious, and luxurious, but it’s the friendly staff that make this lodge/hotel truly a great establishment. I generally don’t leave reviews but this hotel went WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND our expectations.

Poor entrance road, without signs, but the place was beautifully constructed with old huge wooden beams in the dining area, good food, beautiful grounds, nice pool and helpful friendly staff

We had a beautiful stay at Rhotia Valley Tented Lodge. The staff was wonderful and very kind, especially Jumo. A portion of the money from your stay goes to the children's home located next to the hotel, which you are able to visit while staying there. The area and view around the hotel are beautiful, however there is a bumpy uphill road to reach the hotel. The dining room is a beautiful space as well and we had a wonderful meal there!

We had a great stay at lilac hideaway but the thing that stood out most are the way they stepped up to help guests with travel plans
We rented a dud 4x4 and it would not start after we checked in - but Eli jumped in an d organized mechanics to come and then drove with us to take the car to the mechanics once they had gotten a new battery in. The car had no brake or transmission fluids and an corroded alternator wire - Eli stayed at the mechanic while we got some food next door
