"I have stayed in 12 hotels on this trip, and this is the friendliest, with the kindest staff. I needed an extra pillow and they brought it to my room within a few minutes, they got me a taxi for my bus out of town, they had better then usual English understanding and treated me very well. "Overall, a pleasant stay in a modest, nicely-equipped self-catering apartment with good communication and information from the owner. Conveniently close to the Beppu station and main shops in a quiet street. The layout of the apartment is a little unusual, but not a problem. However, there is a 30cm-high step between the living/bedroom area and the kitchen/bathroom area, and this would definitely be a problem for anyone with mobility issues."
