Bridge over river kwai is interesting. Plan to take the train since thst looks fun
This town is for those who have an interest in history and WW2. I came to research and meet museum directors to gather research information to take back to the classroom. Mission accomplished and will return next year.
I came here for the war history and was delighted with it. Transportation is an issue. I went online and found a bus from the Minibus station in Bangkok (20 minutes from airport) for US$6.30. I hired a private driver for the return for 2000 Baht.
Remote hotel difficult to access. Limited taxi service.
Not a lot of American tourists which was nice. Great food and great view from the water.
