"Fantastic location, but disappointing in so many other ways. First of all there was no booking when we arrived and when it was eventually sorted it was made clear the management thought we had not paid enough through the booking agent we had used. "The hotel was a complete disappointment. It is completely in ruins. The price doesn't make any sense. The staff was very nice though, but couldn't do much. The beach nearby, however, is spectacular. Try other accommodations in the area."

"I can’t believe the number of problems we had with this hotel. We’ve travelled to 77 countries and this stay was one of the top disappointing hotel experiences we’ve had given the expectations of a five star hotel. "Wasn't very clean especially the bathroom. No where to place anything in the room, had to use floor. Poor lighting in room, only I of 3 lights worked. No toilet roll or soap provided, had to ask for toilet roll. No dustbin in room or bathroom. This is a homestay, not a hotel. Breakfast was good and they attanged a scooter hire for me. "Lovely hotel was being repainted as we stayed just out of season. The pool and restaurant were great and the staff were very helpful. Be aware the hotel is a little remote from anything else out of season and there no real entertainment around out of season, however the area looks like it would be lively in the season but please note the hotel is still a fair walk to the next bar or hotel and 20 mins to the main strip so tuk tuk will be required "

"We loved our stay at coco tangalla. The staff was welcoming and kind and the location was amazing. The property is beautiful with a great pool and beautiful view of the beach (although you can’t swim there because of the rocks, but it’s great to watch crabs in the rock pools!) - food was very tasty (egg hoppers were especially good) and the room was comfortable and practical (not huge in itself but the bed was comfy and there was storage for our bags under the bed, and the bathroom was big). There was turndown service too which is always a nice touch. We’ll be back for sure! "

"This hotel has basic amenities and it's proximity to the beach is wonderful. The service is exceptional and the people who work there are so wonderful. This is not a luxurious hotel by any means, but would I stay here again, yes I would. Basic comforts were provided, including a mosquito net over the bed and a mosquito repellant plug in (much needed for the third friend who didn't have a mosquito net over her single bed). We were upgraded to an ocean view room on a top floor (lots of stairs), so we spent the majority of the day at their beachside cafe called Happy Lab. We came in April, so waves a little high but we managed to enjoy our time in the water. We took a stroll in the evening to check out other nearby beachside restaurants and settled on dinner at The Twins. Everyone was accommodating and we had a lovely time."
