「Absolutely phenomenal property. There is a lot to do from fishing and kayaking to pottery and cultural programs. The staff too was exceptional. I regret not getting staff members names as they were very thoughtful and helpful. Highly recommend spending a few days at this resort.」

「A lovely resort. The pool is exceptional. Very clean with nice private bungalows. The food was good and there were excellent touches such as a bird watching walk, and afternoon tea. Delicious food in the restaurant. Beach was very nice. 」

「A nice hotel with a big pool even though the pool area isn’t welcoming at all (nowhere to sit, no towels etc). I’ve seen some comments on stuff in previous reviews, I’d say that they were friendly in Indian standard. Good area close to the bus station. WiFi not working. 」

「We enjoyed Backwater Resort very much. We stayed 1 evening before an overnight houseboat trip. We enjoyed the resort so much we returned for another day just relaxing. The staff are all super accommodating and everyone greets you in passing. 5 star service. The rooms are done very well with real wood furnishing. It is isolated from the city but so quiet and relaxing. Finally, great lake views.」

「The grounds are absolutely beautiful - you would not think you‘re in the middle of a city. The pool is great for kids, not ideal for adults as it is rather shallow. Food in restaurants is absolutely excellent, both in terms of quality of ingredients and preparation. Prices at restaurants are quite reasonable. Staff is nothing short of amazing - they treat you like family. This was my second visit to the hotel (the first was so impressive) and I will be back. Only wish: that there was an...
