Family short stay in JB

Last minute decided to have a trip in JB, booked NewYork hotel. Conditions too old, need to retrofit, believe it was a 5 stars hotel 30 years or so back. Staffs service is good.

Room was not ready when we were handed cards, leftover food, used shower gel bottles etc. Thankfully, the cleaner was in the adjacent room, he promptly cleaned and prepared the room for us within 10min.

Big spacious rooms but in need for an upgrade

Got the 3 person room with a Queen and 1 Single bed. The room is huge but the amenities inside the room are so old some of them looks run down. The wooden fixtures starting to peel off, the toilet door frame are peeling off and the shower is only accessible by the bathtub. Meaning u hv to climb into the tub to shower which is a challenge for elderly. The aircon is very cold, cant rly control the temp even aft we turn the temp up to max, it still felt like cold. The lifts are a bit annoying as we hv to go down to lobby and change to another lift which we need to walk across the lobby to access the room lifts. But the service staff were very friendly and welcoming so that is a big plus. And the price is affordable with a lot of food arnd the area and further down the road there's laundry 24hrs
