This hotel was super convenient to the airport, and the staff and service were excellent. The free airport shuttle was efficient and helpful. The food onsite was great, and the staff helped with anything we needed. They even stored our bags for us until our next stay. Highly recommend this hotel when transiting through the area.

Great staff that were very friendly. Food was good, rooms were clean. Good theme and useful for an overnight airport transit stop. Property was in am industrial area and would not recommend leaving tye premesis for saferty reasons.

Great place to relax near the airport!!

Great sized room and lots of space for kids to run around. We had the 2 bedroom unit. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Location is in the middle of an industrial park but the site is gated and you don’t even know once your onsite. Restaurant was nice, little disappointed they only have a single set menu but once I had the food it was soo nice it didn’t bother me after that!!

Great family run hotel conveniently close to Johannesburg airport. The rooms are in a private, gated area and are clean and spatious with a large pleasant garden outside. The food is hearty and they have a well stocked bar for drinks and snacks. The staff and owner are extremely friendly and helpful. The have a pickup and drop-off service to the airport which is around 10 minutes drive away. Safari Club is a very good place to start or end your South African holiday or safari, a whole lot better, more relaxing than the impersonal airport hotels and at a far more resonable cost. I will definitely stay here again.

Safari Club is a fabulous place to stay. Close to the airport, free shuttle picks you up, staff are friendly and helpful (look after you like family), the breakfast is generous and delicious, and dinner is to die for. There is a pub on the grounds with a terrific selection of beers, wines and liquor. The rooms are elegant and clean with traditional thatched ceilings and comfortable beds. Lush gardens surround the hotel turning it into an oasis complete with a pool and BBQ area. If you are into birds we spotted 25 different birds in one afternoon. The staff are so welcoming, from Innocence’s 1000 watt smile as he met us at the airport to Cara and Alister’s kind and generous greeting at reception. You will love this place.

The hotel is lovely and the people very accommodating and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was a delicious full spread of everything one could want. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. In fact, I am going back in 5 days. My only issue is that I paid Expedia but Expedia did not pay the hotel. It was embarrassing at checkout. I have a copy of my payment to Expedia, my Expedia account indicates paid but the hotel did not receive payment.

Charming hotel with that roofs and little bungalows, and a relaxing common area with interesting books about safari, etc. Very comfortable beds. You can have dinner with the dish of the day, which was very good both times we ate there. They do not serve lunch, but will arrange for you to have lunch delivered from local restaurants if you have a later flight out. Friendly and interesting host.

Nice small place near the airport. There wasn't much nearby but the hotel helped get a transfer to and from the Emporium to grab dinner. Loved the layout of the property, perfect with hanging with new friends from a tour we just finished.

This is a wonderful little oasis in an industrial area near the airport. The property and staff are great. The location is tough. They are directly over a flight path from JNB. The afternoon is brutal with a flight taking off every 5 min or so. Nights and evenings are reasonably quiet. It's doable for an overnight stay.

The property is really close to the airport. My wife and I had one day to stay before going on safari. The hotel provided a driver to pick us up at airport and they provided a home cooked meal in the hotel for us at dinner. Very friendly people and very nice property.

Oasis near the airport

We stayed at Safari club just one night before leaving Joburg and South Africa. We wanted to stay near the airport and didn't want a huge chain hotel. Everyone that we met at the Safari Club was super nice and went out of their way to help us. They arranged for the shuttle to meet us when our flight landed and then took us back to the airport the next day. The hotel is really nice and does feel more like a safari lodge than something that you would find near the airport. While you can still hear the planes overhead you feel like you are a million miles out of the business that is that area. The wifi is currently having some troubles as they are transitioning the neighborhood to new service, but Al was up front about that straightaway when we arrived. He was also incredibly kind and accommodating in allowing us to have an extremely late check out before our early evening flight out. If you need to stay near the Joburg airport, you should definitely consider staying here.
