"Had a really good short stay at Kings Hotel Chiayi. It is located a short 5 mins walk from the train station which is helpful if you were taking the morning Alishan Railway or connecting to any of the other cities. About a 10 min walk from the night market which had plenty of food options. Breakfast was included, nice clean restaurant, plenty of food choices incl. Western. Overall highly recommend if you are passing through Chiayi and looking for a comfortable stay before or after your Alishan trip."

"Typhoon Fung Wong was coming so Alishan was closed and we couldn't check-in to our Alishan hotel. It was late, dark but no wind and fairly calm, nearby hotels and BnB coming down Alishan were all fully booked (because of the park closure), luckily, found this Green Hotel in Chiayi and were able to book 3 rooms. Rooms were spacious, clean with a good layout separating toilet and shower area. Next morning we found a 5 star rated cafe in an alley just around the corner, run by a young barista, a winner of business start-up sponsored by the Chiayi city's Economic Affairs Dept, coffee beans roasted on site, grounded right before brewing, with a relaxing seating area. Highly recommend."

"Spacious room, excellent location. Do not let the ‘no window’ description put you off booking the basic room. The room still has natural light, and you never have a hotel room that you can open the windows anyway."

"Loved how big and spacious the room was! 3 people were able to have 3 large suitcases open at the same time and with plenty of room still to walk/sit/lay down if we wanted. Plenty of property seating space as well that isn't just the bed. Staff were very nice and even brought our bags to our room since we checked-in early. The free parking space was a huge plus as we rented a car in Chiayi. Location is a little far from the main city attractions but still very close to a big retail/eating street."
