The room was spotless. the bed fresh and soft!!! THe staff amazing!!!! So attentive. If i ever got back it would just be for the staff the locals were very rude but the best past of my stay was just the hotel staff it really save my trip. I would absolutely recommend this place to stay in Isla Mujeres.

The hotel was nice. The staff was great, especially the pool and beach staff. The property is small, with no real activities or entertainment. The activities were morning yoga, and a crafts/pottery class in the evening...so if you enjoy a show or dancing after dinner, this is not the resort for you. There's no poolside games or music. The hotel is definitely not a 5 star property, maybe 4, and they have staffing issues. But...if you enjoy the beach, paddle boards, or canoeing, it's a great location... beach area is small but the water is calm and shallow.

We loved our stay at Almare, few things I noticed, understaffed, restaurant menu’s limited, the golf cart option with the resort is super expensive, could feel they are new and still in the process of training. Service was not great. Seems cannot keep up with the volume of the guests. Screwed up our ground transportation when we left the resort, even after I asked about it the night before and on the day when we were checking out. Basically was told it was not booked when we arrived at the ferry terminal on cancun side, then was told they thought we booked the ferry arrives at 3, which btw that slot does not exist. Screwed up our request for golf cart rental, when we were told it would be ready next day at 11am. However when we showed up the was told nothing was booked, and there was nothing they can do.

This was the best luxury, adults-only resort that I have been to in Mexico. The food was exquisite and did not taste like resort food. It was intimate and the staff was wonderful. If you can get their private boat from the Renaissance directly to the resort (and back), then stay here!
