Our room was nice, the floor was a little unlevel as with is keeping with an old building. The reception staff was helpful and Stephen in the bar was super friendly. We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to anyone staying in Inverness. The location was excellent for city centre and the local attractions.

We only had a one night stay here, but it met all our needs. It was a great stop very close to city center and where we got on our tour bus. Large bedroom with a king bed. It is an older hotel so some age shows on the carpet and such, but it also added character.

Perfectly situated place within walking distance of the castle and shopping. Also nearby is a cool brewery/distillery. The staff was incredibly helpful in storing some medication for us. 10/10.

Very cute hotel excellent location. The beds are not comfy. It was a rough sleep but everything else was amazing. The breakfast was quite good and self serve so you could take what you liked and skip what you didn't.

This Historic Hotel would have gotten a perfect review from me for its location and historical connection. However if you have a room on the backside as I did you will have a sleepless night as the surrounding pubs dump bins of bottles loudly into the trash as well as slam doors well into the wee hours of the morning with no care as to who they bother.

The bathtub was difficult to step UP and into and there were no grab bars in the shower. The heater towel rack was nice, though. Also,there were no USB sockets for charging our phones.

The hotel was super close to shopping and has a wonderful view of Inverness Castle, it is also right on the river. Needs some updating and fixing. Parking is down the street a block at the Cathedral where you can pay for 24 hour parking.

Friendly staff. Bathroom was not the cleanest when we got there but we were offered another room. Wish there had been a hair dryer provided. Overall the location was perfect and the room was comfortable.

Unfortunately, our stay did not meet expectations. We had no power in the room and bathroom during the night and had to use our phone lights. Reception was unable to provide a solution. Breakfast quality was also disappointing, with very limited options. The only positive experience was the gentleman at reception during breakfast, who was very kind and helpful.

Booked this property because it was cheap and was using it as a base for a day trip to Isle of Skye. I knew it wouldn’t be great but didn’t expect it to be as awful and dirty as it was. Mold in the bathrooms, dust and dirty everywhere in the room and spills on the walls. Sheets seemed clean though. Would not stay again.

The property is old and has not been updated. I was there for three nights asked twice when the room will be cleaned. It was never cleaned in the three nights stay. We ran out of toilet paper heater did not work ,portable heater works sporadically. Full breakfast was very poor. Four hotels so far in Scotland excellent breakfast in the morning this one was the poorest and was unable to drink the coffee.

Loved the classical style of this fine Victorian era hotel. We enjoyed the en suite room with a very comfortable bed and fantastic view of the castle and river. The photographs of people and days long gone that lined the hallways and stairways were very interesting indeed and definitely added to the essence of the hotel. Staff were great, very helpful and friendly. Lots to like at this well located hotel. Definitely would recommend for a comfortable stay in Inverness.
