HVAC issues
The interior of the house was fine. Some low ceilings in the stairwell and upstairs bedroom but nothing major. The front of the house faces an industrial area while the back/side face some other houses that aren’t necessarily as well kept. Again, nothing that would keep me from staying. We got in Friday, got situated and went to dinner. Shortly after returning that night we noticed that the vent was blowing cold air and realized that the furnace wasn’t working, kind of an issue as it was the coldest (and busiest) weekend of the year in Indy. EVERY hotel in the area was booked so we couldn’t leave, not to mention that we’d already paid for the house through Monday. The furnace was “fixed” the first time on Saturday afternoon around 2:30pm. It went out again that night around 11pm and when we went to sleep the temperature in the house was 60 degrees. Sunday morning we woke up to the house being 54 degrees, so after showering in the freezing house we went shopping simply to get warmed up. Supposedly the furnace was fixed again around 5pm Sunday but it must’ve only been working properly for a short time because it was 50 degrees in the house when we got home that night. I let the contact at the property know and also reached out when we woke up and discovered that it was only 40 degrees in the house and some of faucets weren’t working (probably frozen pipes since it was “real feel” -20 outside). If the house would’ve had heat it would’ve been fine for what we needed it for.
