experience at Hotel Cape Cod involving the unlawful denial of access to a legally protected ADA service animal. We booked a short stay following a snowstorm to enjoy the beach and pool facilities. Upon arrival, I was informed that my son’s certified medical service dog was not allowed in the room we had booked due to concerns about other guests’ allergies. I calmly explained that under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a service animal must be allowed anywhere the public is permitted. I was told that this was not the hotel’s policy. Later that evening, we went to the hotel pool. My son’s service dog was leashed, housebroken, under control, and lying quietly on the pool deck while I held the leash, as my son is under 18. The dog never entered the water. An employee entered the pool area in an agitated manner, yelling with her hair covering her face and flailing her arms. Her behavior was alarming and disruptive. We had difficulty understanding her due to the way she was yelling. She repeatedly stated that the dog was not allowed and demanded that we leave. I calmly explained that the dog is a service animal protected under the ADA and asked that she verify the law. She left the area and returned with a front desk employee, who again stated that no dogs were allowed at the hotel. I attempted to show documentation kept on the dog’s leash, but he refused to review it and stated, “Not at this hotel,” despite the fact that we had been required to sign paperwork

Lost power due to a storm which was not a big deal however they do not have a backup generator. Which means we were not able to use the pool or any basic hotel services. Also did not have hot water the 2 days we were there. All of this is not a big deal but when I asked for some type of discount as we where not getting the basic standards for hotels met I was rudely told to go stay somewhere else is I didn’t like it

The manager (Jay) was rude and unfortunately very unprofessional. I did not spend the night and left not long after arriving…the amenities such as gym and sauna was closed.. the elevator was not working upon arrival. Very dissatisfied and disappointed

This hotel is in renovation at the moment, January ‘26. They have come from interesting beginnings to being a safe, reliable, respected, location in Hyannis. This is my go to hotel for clean, comfortable, newly renovated, and great priced hotel. Keep up the great work!! It’s looking great!

Room was clean and what we needed. Very comfortable. Breakfast options were nice. Pancakes, scrambled eggs, potatoes and a variety of yogurt among a few other danishes. Enjoyed our stay.

* Pool wasn't operational (it happens, but let me know before I check in!) * stairs under construction (over New Years weekend? don't start a project before a long holiday weekend maybe) * paint on floor in elevator * coffee stains on floor by ice maker all weekend - would take 15 sec to clean with a wet paper towel * trash piled next to trash can in hallway all day Saturday * smoke alarm in next room chirping all night (low battery) * large dog across the hall barking all night (mgmt: yes, we are aware, and if he wasn't checking out this morning, we certainly would have said something) * ice in parking lot melted and refroze daily, creating hazardous conditions. I fell walking to the lounge, twice Any one of those issues can happen, but all of them? When discussed with management... "I apologize for the inconvenience but... * we're short staffed * I put salt down * we are renovating * the smoke detector batteries only last 3 months * I would have moved the dog... This is not the level of service I paid for

Breakfast, plenty of options, scrambled eggs and sausage were good and constantly refreshed. Cereal, bagels, toast, fresh fruit, yogurts, juices, lots more. Concierge was friendly and attentive. They are the midst of redecorating, so there was some mess here and there in the halls but my room was clean and I was never interrupted by the work. The gym is small but has everything you need. The indoor pool looked nice but I didn’t get to use it. Every staff member I encountered was pleasant, even the construction workers would greet me with a smile and good morning. The hotel is tucked away between 2 busy roads yet I didn’t notice any street noise through the evening and night. And I slept great, my bed was very comfortable. The heat/AC is easy to control to the exact temperature you want. Parking is easy and plentiful. Plenty of shopping, fast food, restaurants within .5 miles, can’t walk there but a quick drive. Downtown Hyannis is 10 minutes away, although traffic can get busy through there. Bathrooms are small. I do like that the sink was just outside the bathroom so if someone is in there, you can still use the mirror and sink. Although it is weird to walk in to a room and be greeting by the sink. But I wasn’t paying for luxury here. All in all, it was a decent price, convenient, comfortable and pleasant to stay there.
