Lovely apartment but there was no iron and the bin was broken. Have stayed at Charter House regularly over the past few weeks and have always been provided with an iron, which is essential for ironing my NHS uniform.
Very clear instructions about how to find the property \ car park. The apartment was beautiful and had everything i needed for my stay. The only minor problem was the shower head had seen better days. Very handy for the old town , would stay again.
First issue was that two payments were taken for the apartment, I'm not sure if this was a mistake made by Hotels.com or the apartment manager but this will be refunded once I supply the evidence. Bit of an inconvenience, though!
Secondly, I was in apartment 1 and the bed was quite uncomfortable with springs that dug in, I assume not all the beds are like this as I saw reviews saying the beds are comfortable.
Thirdly, I had an issue getting in the gate which ended up being the bar that slots into the ground on the other side, I figured this out myself whilst on the phone to the apartment manager who confirmed I was doing everything right.
Other than these issues, everything was great. I probably wouldn't stay again though as I can't deal with uncomfortable beds! It's a shame because the apartment was nice.
Lovely apartment comfy beds everything we needed each room had a ensuite which was excellent standard.the only problem was that it wasnt Hoovered and there was food under the stools i also tried to phone the number on here before our stay and noone ever answered it. Having said all of that if we need to come to Hull again we would all stay there again

BewareCar Park !
The property was immaculately clean and well equipped with a comfortable bed, efficient shower and adequately equipped kitchen. However the outside door needs a new spring to prevent banging and internally a non-slip mat for the shower, oven gloves, egg cups, a second tea towel and a packet of Jey clothes are required.
The lack of clear signage meant that initially we didn't realise that the scruffy piece of wasteland WAS the car park referred to in the directions and the appalling surfacing meant that we didn't spot the nail hidden within the gravel. This punctured the tyre resulting in much inconvenience and an expensive bill.
The advertising stated the property was fully serviced but no one was present to greet, help us unload the car and show us around. Neither was there a welcome pack consisting of bread, milk etc & giving details of local amenities. The advertising did not state that there wasn't a lift to the first floor.
The external and internal security impressed us but being expected to park on insecure waste ground was not only inconvenient but also put the car’s security at risk. Additionally the presence of broken paving and litter outside gave the impression of entering a 19th century institution – a few shrubs and flowers would be more welcoming!
Attention to these issues would change our rating from 6 out of 10 to 9.5 ( nothing is perfect)
The apartment itself is pretty stunning. Large, open plan, warm, interesting design, comfortable. Its worth noting that one of teh double beds is actually in a really large open landing and access to third room is via this landing. That said all beds have own bathroom. It is located on the edge of the city centre as it hits old waterside industrial sites - which was great for us as everything was 15 walk away and area was quiet.
Sadly the flat was poorly equipped with no cork screw, wine glasses, teapot, coffee making stuff.
The facilities at the apartment were excellent and the location was fantastic for what we had planned for the weekend (a trip to the theatre). Communication including instructions of how to get to the apartment and how to access the place were clear and easy to understand. The only thing that let the stay down was the cleanliness( there were cobwebs in the bathroom, sticky stains on some of the surfaces in one of the bedrooms and an opened condom tucked into the window blind of the same bedroom). I still would recommend this apartment as the benefits far outweigh the drawbacks
Had a very enjoyable stay. The apartment was a fantastic size and was modern and clean. The kitchen area was well stocked. The area was nice and quiet and I had a nice restful night. The access instructions were a little confusing but easily worked out in the end.
Large spacious and comfortable apartment with parking and walking distance to shopping centre. Good communication re arrangements for accessing apartment. Kitchen well stocked and all equipment working
The instructions we received regarding entry to the apartment were great very clear and easy to use. The apartment was nicely done, modern inside, and fairly well equipped with kitchen utensils etc. Could of done with a corkscrew and a pair of scissors. No hairdryer but I did take my own. Towels and tea towels provided. Overall cleanliness ok but a lot of limescale in bathroom and kitchen sink quite dirty. On arrival all the kitchen appliances weren’t working and had tripped, easily solved once the switches were located and reset. The internet was also not working despite rebooting the router, but we rang the contact number provided and someone came out and reset the server remotely within about 30minutes so good service. The light in the bathroom was one that is activated on entry but had been switched off, the switch was placed high up above the door and luckily my husband is tall and could reach it, I couldn’t have done it on my own. Overall the apartment was warm and comfortable (although the bed had springs that really dug in!), but I felt it hadn’t been checked prior to our arrival. The main downside was the stairs of which there are a couple of flights to get to the apartment and then a very tricky spiral staircase to get to the bedroom, certainly not suitable for anyone with even minor mobility issues. Overall it was worth the money and the location was great for access into town. I would use again but be aware of the minor downfalls.
Apartment was very sizeable and offered everything needed. Although I only spent one night here on a business trip I would happily visit again with friends/family for the weekend.
Arriving in the dark it took me a little while to find the entrance.

Pleased with our first experience of Charterhouse
The location is good; close to the old town. Anyway, we enjoyed our stay and have booked another stay in a few weeks time. The conversion to apartments has been cleverly done.
The car park is an awkward shape and could do with being marked out to encourage inconsiderate drivers to park tidily.
The shower hose in Room 10 needs renewing and one of the blinds has a panel missing.
Needed accommodation close to Hull Old Town, spacious enough to be comfortable and to be able to work in comfort and relax when not working. This ticked all the boxes.

A lovely, quiet, quaint, secure and spacious home from home. A few more signs would help when at first arrival. Often here in Hull on business, this location is close to the city center without being in the noise and congestion. I will look no further than here on my future stays. Highly recommend.
Good accomodation, directions to get in were appalling (or I am stupid) but there was a note on the school door so I don't think I was the only one. Car park full and with no marked spaces so the area was not used effectively. The area around seems to be a bit dodgy - I was pleased to be there is the summer as I would not have liked wandering around in the dark.
