"Lovely stay at this quite modern hotel a short walk from the main beach in Hua Hin. Room was nice and big, clean and nice modern bathroom. There’s a nice bar at the front of the hotel with good food and drink offers and lovely staff! It’s an easy walk to the beach, shops and bars/restaurants nearby as well as the night market. The pool is relatively small but very pretty, with plenty of sunbeds (in a covered area, which is nice). Great spot for a few days in Hua Hin!"

Hua Hin City Center

3 out of top 10 points of interest in this area

Hua Hin City Center buzzes with Thai culture and seaside charm. The historic railway station showcases ornate wooden pavilions while the night market fills streets with seafood aromas. Palm-lined streets lead to pristine beaches where gentle waves welcome swimmers. The iconic clock tower anchors this welcoming beach town. Stroll the vibrant walking street for local handicrafts and authentic Thai cuisine. Beach chairs dot the 5-mile shoreline where water sports enthusiasts gather. Temple visits offer peaceful breaks from shopping and dining. Evening beachfront walks reveal stunning sunsets and a relaxed nightlife scene.

Khao Takiab

Khao Takiab offers a magical blend of beachfront relaxation and Thai cultural heritage. This coastal gem boasts golden sands and turquoise waters alongside the dramatic limestone hill crowned by a Buddhist temple. Playful monkeys roam freely near the temple grounds, creating memorable encounters for curious visitors. Sunset strolls along the beachfront reveal fishing boats bobbing in gentle waves and seafood restaurants serving fresh catches. The Cicada Market showcases local artisans and performers each weekend. Resort gardens provide peaceful retreats when you're ready to unwind after exploring this charming corner of Hua Hin.

Nong Kae

4 out of top 10 points of interest in this area

Nong Kae offers pristine beaches where luxury resorts meet the Gulf of Thailand's azure waters. This relaxing neighborhood balances upscale seaside accommodations with quieter residential pockets. The Cicada Market adds local flavor while golf courses and Vana Nava Water Park provide diverse recreation options. Between dips in resort infinity pools, explore the area's natural beauty along palm-lined shores. Sunset dining features fresh seafood at beachfront restaurants with spectacular ocean views. Though public transit is limited, most resorts provide convenient shuttle services to Hua Hin's center just 20 minutes away.

Khao Tao

1 out of top 10 points of interest in this area

This coastal village pairs beautiful beaches with local charm, just minutes from bustling Hua Hin. Golden sands at Khao Tao and Sai Noi beaches invite lazy days under swaying palms. Traditional longtail boats dot the shoreline while nearby mountains create a stunning backdrop. The peaceful Khao Tao Reservoir offers excellent kayaking and fishing opportunities surrounded by lush hiking trails. Beachfront seafood shacks serve fresh daily catches with authentic Thai flavors. For travelers seeking a quiet retreat with genuine Thai coastal culture, Khao Tao delivers natural beauty without the crowds.

Bo Fai

Bo Fai offers a peaceful retreat from Hua Hin's tourist bustle. This authentic residential neighborhood sits just north of the city center, providing budget-friendly accommodation without sacrificing convenience. The local temple, Wat Bo Fai, adds cultural charm to the area's quiet streets and tropical gardens. Family-run restaurants serve delicious Thai dishes at local prices. Small neighborhood parks and temple grounds provide tranquil green spaces for relaxation. Though beaches require a quick 15-minute drive, many travelers appreciate the genuine Thai atmosphere and lower costs here.

Khao Takiab Temple
Thai Views | Wat Khao Takiap: So what’s in the pose when it comes to the many postures of Buddha? Well there are no coincidences, that’s for sure. Along one of the many beaches of Hua Hin, Thailand, sits a tiny peninsula that houses Wat Khao Takiab. Like most temples, a statue of Buddha is displayed in some shape or form. Here the statue is one of a standing Buddha with the palms of both hands upright and facing outwards, called “Repelling the Oceans”. One common meaning of this posture is the belief that on a visit to India, Buddha used the power of meditation to repel a wall of water that was unleashed by a hermit in hopes to cause a flood. There is also a second meaning “Preventing the Relative from Fighting”. Situated along the coastline of Hua Hin, I would say the former meaning to be more fitting and as I mentioned, no coincidences and hopefully no flooding to come.
