The property was dated, old. I expected more from a Marriott and the amount I paid for my hotel room. I would expect for that rate, it would be a more updated property. I could have paid $40 less and stayed at the South Shore Harbor and Resort where my friends were staying. I would have done so if I have known there rates were so inexpensive especially compared to how dated the Marriott property looked!

We were at the Kemah Boardwalk, and made the last minute decision to find a room so that we didn't have to be on the road late. I reserved the room online. At check in time, I had minimal interaction with the staff, but the woman who checked us in was friendly. The room was clean and comfortable for the four of us. I have stayed in many hotels, and typically, the ones that are a bit pricier per night always have *some* type of breakfast, however this location charges $10.00 per person for breakfast which I thought was odd and out of the ordinary for a "better" hotel. Long story short, if you're looking for a family friendly place near the Kemah Boardwalk, there are PLENTY of far cheaper options, that also include light snacks all the way to a full meal included in the price.

Fire alarm went off twice during my stay. Parking was terrible. Front desk clerk seemed anmoyed by my questions about my room and stay as a first time customer. Room was clean and decent. Other than mentioned above, i have no other issues.

Overall the property, staff and availability of things on and around area were very nice and very positive. Now, For the amount you pay, and the "front" they put out, the fixtures in rooms are falling apart, toilets and mechanisms are horribly loud, and just random parts and pieces are broken and falling apart.

This is the best hotel that we've stayed at in Kemah! It is very clean & there was someone cleaning when we arrived & it was already clean! Staff was very friendly! I was very impressed with this property & we will stay here again. I recommend!

Comfy beds, good amenities in room. Free parking. Downside - water from sink taps a bit smelly and not clear. As arrived Saturday receptionist said wouldn’t be looked at till Monday but could move room if wished to. Stayed put and used bottled water for teeth and kettle.
