「We came from Taiwan and stayed a few days in Vancouver. The reason why we chose this hotel is its good location which is near Lions Gate Bridge and therefore close to Stanley park and downtown. In addition, the hotel service is definitely good. In particular, there are several staffs who speak Chinese and are very friendly toward Taiwan people. 」

「My friend and I had a wonderfully relaxing and quiet time at Up the Creek. We were the only ones there for two days, so we picked a great time to go! They have a fully kitted kitchen with everything avaialble to cook up your meals. We took all our own food so our two days away from the city was super inexpensive. 「Great location, met our needs. Wrong code sent to us for check-in and no one answered emergency property #. Had to email the owner, but got a prompt response with correct code. Clean, tidy. There were a couple of things that could have made it a more comfortable experience. The dishwasher smelled awful, I suspect the drain needs to be cleaned. There were no streaming services available, no extra towels, weird things like liquid soap had been refilled in a foam dispenser so you had to fight it...

「It was a disgrace. Mould in the bathroom, old soap & hair in the bathroom. No cups to have a coffee. Couldn’t get the TV to work. The sheets were questionable. We paid for 2 nights but only stayed 1. It was over priced. We felt totally ripped off. This accommodation should not be part of Hotels.com」

「We enjoyed our stay -- comfy bed with nice linens, very clean, elegant breakfast, and great location. Although it is not an isolated home (neighbors are close), once inside it feels very cozy and relaxing. Short walk to Capilano suspension bridge and short drive (5 mins) up to Grouse Mountain. We drove 10-15 mins into North Vancouver waterfront area for some nice dinners out. Enjoyed conversation with Brian, our host, at breakfast. 」
