"This was one of our favourite hotel stays ever! Beautiful wood panelled lodge set into the hills of the Black Forest. The room was spotless and the food at dinner and breakfast was faultless too. The service was friendly throughout. The view from the beer garden alone is worth coming for. 10/10 P.s. It’s a personal preference thing but I like to have two pillows. "This was our second stay, our first was 3 years ago and we really enjoyed it. This time it lived up to everything we remembered. The room was generously sized, with a nice balcony. The parking is just opposite the hotel on the road in marked bays. The restaurant serves incredible quality foods, with great emphasis on local ingredients in most dishes. The first page of the menu lists where all the key ingredients are from. They even have an excellent selection of local drinks, including beers and wines. We enjoyed the wild garlic soup, local steak, and wild garlic pesto pasta, with a local Hefe Weisse and local Pinot Noir. On our latest stay we utilised the sauna and were very pleased with the quality of the sauna and relaxation facilities, there is a lot of attention to detail which makes the space very nice to use after a long day of hiking! We love it here, and we will return on a future road trip!"
