The hotel is old, rooms are old, however, it was very, very quiet, safe and clean. The breakfast was excellent, very hearty with lots of variety. A great place to stay right outside of Freiburg with easy driving access to the old city. We would stay here again.

This is a lovely hotel in the Littenweiler area just east of Freiburg. There is a handy bus right outside the door, that takes you to the tram, which is then an easy ride into the city. The staff was very helpful, the rooms were nice, and the breakfast was fantastic, with hot dishes as well as cold!

Lovely hotel though perhaps a little uncared for now. Great staff for check in and breakfast. The dining room is great so shame there is currently no restaurant.

Really good value hotel, especially for a solo traveller. Room was a decent size and was clean, staff were very helpful. Car park was a decent size but some of the parking was atrocious so I couldn’t always get a space. Only thing I would change is having a kettle - I did miss morning teas!

Comfortable in Freiburg

The evening front desk clerk that greeted us was friendly. He recommended restaurants and called the restaurant we decided upon to acquire reservations for us. Wish our time wasn't limited in Freiburg, we would have liked to check out more of the city and surrounding area.

Was a fantastic room shower etc with balcony, however we were woken at around 7 by workers opposite our room this is unacceptable we're on holiday and had a long days ride we needed our rest plus no food at all we had to order a takeaway and we had only 1 pillow each which thin and soft

Spacious room, but could use a renovation. The flooring was carpet and had some old stains. I would suggest to remove the carpet and replace it with something easier to clean. Also the bathroom was rather old and could use an update. But for everything else it was a perfect accommodation. Breakfast was very good and staff was friendly.

4/10 Poor

Disliked: Amenities, property conditions & facilities
Breakfast is decent. Access to lobby is horrible as we have to lug our luggage up the steps with no help. One of our family member's room is horribly small and hotel will not make any concession despite having booked over 6 months ago, we should have been given priority on the better rooms. No air conditioning is a negative!

The place is worth for its price. It is a bit farther from the city center but since the bus stop is literally in-front of the hotel, it is not a big deal. There are no other dining options around the area. Overall, the accommodation is good, it is clean, they clean up everyday or upon request, the receptionists greet you whenever they see you, they speak good English, so that helps. Check in and check out process were pretty smooth. My room was next to the street and so I can hear the activities outside, just enough to notice it and not really annoy you. Shower curtain rod feels like it would give up on you since it it made of PVC pipe. Just be careful, I guess.

The property is very nice in a quaint location. Dining options in walkable distance are minimal though. They provided a list, but all were in downtown Frieberg am Breslau.

Helpful and friendly staff, clean and comfortable. It was unlucky that there was construction work directly behind the hotel but also an issue that windows could not be shut tightly.
