「Simply poorly taken care of. What could have been a routine clean room was not really that clean. Old paint splattered onto furniture, curtains, and the floor. Since it was a bit dirty in appearance, I checked for bed bugs. As I’m glad to report not finding any, I did find the smoke alarm under the mattress. It was beeping as if the battery was low, but the battery was still in it. There was a smoke alarm in the ceiling, and I assume the staff saw it wasn’t there and installed another one, but...
