"Our stay was less than mediocre. First they lost my reservation, I was told prior to arrival that I could pay the deposit in cash and then at check in was told I had to pay the deposit with a card. I paid for my stay in full at check in and they continuously tried to charge my card for the entire stay amount every single night we were there. Our room was okay, we liked the layout but the sofa bed had no sheets on it and had food folded up into it. We had to go to the check in desk everyday to reactivate our key cards because they never worked. The pool was dirty and the staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. Overall, I was not impressed. We travel to the Detroit are often and definitely will not be staying here again."

"worst customer service that I’ve ever encountered. Misleading information between staff caused great The customer is put in the middle without regard to circumstances. Needless to say, I will no longer be using this hotel in the future. Due to extreme weather conditions and tornadoes in Michigan, flights were canceled and travel plans had to be adjusted. They were inflexible and charged me for one night when it wasn’t used. Hotels.com made the original reservation and reached out to the administrative staff at the Kingsley Inn, who still stood firm and did not offer a room credit for a future use. I was not looking for my money back. I was simply trying to rebook the room in the future. I’m sure that there are other hotels that would appreciate my business."

"There was a main water leak in the city which caused a lot of issues. We had to run and get cases of water to flush the toilet. We didn’t take a shower for 2 days. It was easier to stay than to fight the thousands of people trying to find other accommodations. Not their fault but still a problem. "

"Check in was good, 11:00pm somebody set off and alarm in the hallway. 3 am two men were in the hallway talking loudly and proceeded to keep talking in the hallway until 4 am. Talk to the front desk and they said they didn't see anyone on the camera's which tells me he wasn't looking. Othe than that room was good "

"Room was very clean, robe holder on the wall was broken but it wasn't a issue. Staff was very friendly and the pool and hot rub were nice and clean."

"Yes the room was in good condition..The door to the room looked like it was kicked in at one time.. After my first night stay I could not get my room serviced...I needed clean towels and glasses and coffee cups and bedding..I went to the front desk to request for this service and she told me she would contact Housekeeping....When I returned to my room at 7pm there still was nothing done...I went back to the front desk and was told the manager told her that the service is done every other day.. I told the lady at the desk what I needed and she was kind enough to supply me with the items.. clean shower towels, hand towels and wash clothes, Clean Glasses, Coffee cups, a box of kleenex tissues, and more coffee for the coffee maker.. I needed toilet paper, but that was under lock and key and she will have to find someone to unlock the area so she could get me toliet paper..She was so kind to bring it to my room and set it outside my door. I could not get my bedding changed so we slept in the dirty bedding...and Just so you know all during the day on my floor in the hallway was four piles of dirty bedding laying in the hallway...BUT I WAS TOLD THE MANAGER SAID EVERY OTHER DAY....so according to the piles of bedding in the hallway, it must of been the other day, but my room did not get touched...I question now does the bedding get changed after the visit of a guest ? or is it the new guest gets there night with dirty bedding because it does not fall into the Every Other day schedule"
