Before check-in, we were notified that we would be moved to another building, about 10 minutes away on foot. While the alternative accommodation wasn’t bad, we don’t believe it was equivalent to the one we originally booked. No shuttle bus was provided. Even though the staff were helpful, I can’t help but feel tricked. Due to new regulations in Vietnam, some buildings no longer allow short-term rentals. As a result, some private hosts list a property, then offer an alternative after you’ve booked. This has happened to me twice.
