「For context, we stayed here as part of our honeymoon in Portugal, and it was by far the best place we stayed. The design of the hotel was beautiful. Everywhere you looked, there were fantastic views of the Douro River and surrounding hills framed by massive windows. The facilities were amazing. 「This hotel is located right on the Douro, in a picturesque spot. There's a parking area right outside. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel claims to be four star; it may have been once but it no longer is. The rooms are spartan. A 20" tv from the 2000s. No amenities whatsoever in the bathroom, which had a broken wall shower and between one and three lights randomly working, depending on I know what. I had to move furniture to find the only single wall outlet close to the bed....
