「Octant is a beautiful hotel, and the staff are next level - while we were out for a hike, the staff held on to our daughter’s doll. When we returned they had taken pictures of the doll doing all sorts of fun activities - from a massage at the spa to helping at front desk. Truly above and beyond!」

「Great place. We had a spacious suite with a nice river view. Close to a river walk which takes you all the way to the 1st big lock on the Douro. Breakfast came in a box to your room every morning with fresh bread, pastries, cheese, ham, orange juice & coffee. Kitchen was also well equipped. We would definitely stay there again.」

「We had the most wonderful stay here for 3 days over easter. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, every part of it is carefully thought out. The decor is gorgeous, rooms spacious with lovely high ceilings and it is immaculately clean. The grounds are stunning, service and staff exceptional, i cannot think of one negative thing about our stay. 「This hotel is located right on the Douro, in a picturesque spot. There's a parking area right outside. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel claims to be four star; it may have been once but it no longer is. The rooms are spartan. A 20" tv from the 2000s. No amenities whatsoever in the bathroom, which had a broken wall shower and between one and three lights randomly working, depending on I know what. I had to move furniture to find the only single wall outlet close to the bed....
