「It is a bit far from the Basel train station but the tram number 8 can take you nearby, hotel host upgraded my room to a bigger size on top floor, while you cannot imagine it is a big hotel from outside, good bathroom with enough hot and water pressure, easy to reach most of the Basel old town attractions」

「Except from some tiny issues, the hotel is really wonderful. Receptionists are extremely friendly and very helpful. Hotel' restaurant is serving very good foods, location is only 5-7 mins walk from train station. Beautiful river view from window, free beverages and fruits is really a plus! If you have a light luggage or capable to handle heavy one by stairs, the hotel is what you really need. 「The room is very spacious and comfortable with most of the necessary items included ! The bed is comfortable and big enough. I chose Junior suit for family stay which would not make us feel crowded. Though the hotel is no located right near Basel SBB station, it just takes 5mins bus (no.30 at station C next to Basel station) to arrive hotel. The surroundings of the hotel are silent and beautiful. I love this stay ! Moreover, the hotel provided us a card per head for taking the transport in Basel...

「The hotel is situated in an idyllic quiet surrounding of Mariastein. The hotel room was spacious and clean and quiet. No noise from outside. The service of the staff is amazing. They go above and beyond. Breakfast is amazing with fresh products (bread, cheese, cold cuts, cereal, milk, eggs).」

「It is wonderful! On the Rhine! The rooms are beautiful and the restaurant is outstanding! I had a wonderful plate of Wiener schnitzel and my wife and daughter had fish and loved it. The waiter who served us, originally from Croatia spoke excellent German and what not only a good waiter, he was very funny too. I highly recommend the Waldhaus!」
