"There was nothing wrong with the hotel; the room was fantastic, the property was kept up, parking was great. I did not have breakfast. I did order from room service and the food was fine. My biggest issue was that upon check-in I was told that I had to basically put down $100 deposit, that’s not the issue. The issue is that they did not tell me that if I ordered room service that I was going to be charged another hundred dollars. I ordered room service the first night the next day. I looked at my bank card to see how much money I had and there was another hundred dollars withdrawn from the Sheridan. When I called them, the gentleman that answered the phone said that because I ordered room service that is why that happened and that sometimes it happened and sometimes it doesn’t and sometimes it won’t take extra unless you’ve spent $80. It made absolutely no sense to me, but he said it was a computer thing and there was nothing that he could do about it. I think the assumption by them was that I already knew that this was going to happen. I am not a well traveled person. In fact this is the first time I have traveled on my own so I wasn’t aware of the incidental fee, which is fine. It took two days to get my money back. I just think that somewhere somebody needs to explain to people what’s going to happen with that incidental fee and that they’re gonna have more taken out if they use it. I will likely never stay at the Sheridan again just for this reason."

"Cleanliness was very good, upon check in staff was not very informative at all! She was to busy on her phone. I had to ask all the questions after she handed me my room key. Because at that point she just said my room number and to have a good evening. I asked about breakfast times, pool times, all the info she should have provided us. All the cleaning staff does not speak English. Try to get towels from the front desk not them. Overall 7 out of 10 rating. They could not keep up with breakfast, they ran out of food way to much ,and they use the cheapest plastic silverware for us to use. Plus foam plates that don't mix well when you put hot food on them! Plus its the same cold chicken patties and eggs. I've stayed at other Home 2 Suites and their food was much better and real silverware."
