"We had a room at the top of the hotel. Had a lovely private balcony with umbrella. Water pressure was surprisingly good. Room was comfortable. Staff are a delight. Breakfast was good. Close to the beach despite despite being up the hill. The hill is, admittedly, a lot. There's plenty of Restos but no stores, so stock up down in town."

"Can’t say enough about this place. Rooms are comfy cozy, food is excellent, location can’t be topped, and the staff is sensational. Special props to the owner who went out of his way to make sure I got my taxi on time. I was there for the 2026 eclipse, so the entire town was jammed . . . but these good folks sure did keep up. Felt treated like a prince. Highly recommended!"

"Hotel beautiful. Central/communal areas nicely decorated. Staff (especially at reception)were friendly and helpful. Lovely location for the old and new town. Some of the fixed furnishings in the bedroom were a little worn but still comfortable. Would definitely recommend to others."

"Excellent location at the base of the castle and a block from the beach. Great AC in the room. There's a small restaurant downstairs and many other restaurants nearby. If you like nature walks, check out the raised boardwalk at the Marjal nature preserve area about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. It's so peaceful and beautiful! The only thing we didn't like about the hotel is the glass door on the bathroom that only has tinting on about 2/3's of it. Who that was a good idea for a bathroom door?!?"

"Truly a gem of a boutique hotel in a magical destination in Spain. Close to everything- only a 10 minute walk to the castle and right across the street from the beach. Literally perfect. The rooms are modern and clean. MUCH nicer than other hotels we have stayed at in the area. Their breakfast buffet is outstanding! The only downside is the parking. When we arrived we were told their lot was full for the first few days of our stay so it was about a 30 minute adventure to find street parking each time we moved the car but I would still stay here again."

"It's somewhat difficult to get to Peniscola, and leave Peniscola. There's limited taxi service; the regional bus is really the best option to and from the train station. The desk staff would best counsel guests by just telling them to hop on the bus. If the taxi thing can be worked out and advance notice can help, then do advise guests upon check-in. Every other hotel in Europe seems to do this. The actual stay on the property is otherwise unremarkable."
