"This place is like new! Very clean, comfy beds, outside is neatly landscaped, staff were all very nice. There is a little traffic noise since it’s so near the freeway but nothing that kept us awake. There was the smell of cigarette smoke that would happen occasionally which we found out was from smokers sitting outside on the dining room patio below and the smoke was coming in through the ventilation system. They have a designated smoking area but apparently not everyone is using it. Staff were alerted and very apologetic. This certainly wasn’t a deal breaker for us and we will definitely return if our travels take us to the Roseburg area again."

"The man at the front desk here is really friendly and there’s plenty of parking, didn’t have any issues with walls being too thin (my main problem with hotels!). It’s close to the highway but the noise didn’t keep me from sleeping. I’d stay here again!"

"If you need a place to stay in Oregon, look no further. The house is in the country side, thus quiet, away from noise. Owner keeps it very clean and homely. 100 times better than being in a hotel room. Owner is friendly and kind to guests. My husband and I loved being there. Oh, and there is a relaxing hot tub outside! Book your stay and you won't regret it!"

"Our stay at the John Rast house was truly wonderful. The hosts have taken such meticulous care saving and restoring this historical gem of a property, and are truly lovely humans. They took time with us to share so much wonderful detail not only about the house and the family, but the town of Roseburg as well. We highly recommend a visit here to anyone looking to step back into the past and experience a peak into the origins of the area. Lastly, breakfast was wonderful and the rooms are lovely!"
