"Close to airport"

"The hotel looked newer in the pics online than in reality but it was comfortable and close to everything we needed. The shower needed a good scrub though. There wasn’t any bench space in the bathroom so my toiletries had to sit on the floor in their bag. Breakfast was great and convenient although we weren’t told how to access this on check in so ate out in the first morning. Room service was ordered on one occasion and the food came quickly and was delicious and hot. The coffe machine in the room needed rinsing quite a few times before use but was nice to have. The beach was also just a short walk which was nice and the pool and gym were enjoyed by my son. I think for the price I was expecting more and cleanliness of the bathroom and shower should be better however we did still enjoy our stay other than those things. I wouldn’t pay this price at the same hotel again though. I’ve stayed in cheaper accommodation that is cleaner and newer."

"The property was old and run down. Have stayed here twice before (more than ten years ago) and had been so impressed. But nothing has been updated or changed. The beds were small but comfortable. Our room had an external door to the pool area. The handle had been removed and the gaps Gaffa taped up. It was literally a hole in the door where the lock and hs doe once were. Breakfast was a big selection but nothing spectacular. The atmosphere was quit ed sad and bleak. The in house restaurant was expensive for dinner and the menu not great. We walked to another hotel and found a more family friendly restaurant. It was fine but for the money we paid and the expectation of the Stamford we were left disappointed. I would choose to stay elsewhere. Location to domestic airport was good. We could walk. The staff did not speak English fluently enough to ask questions to or take feedback. Too cold to use pool but it was in a run down condition."
