Ummmm…was it worth the price? Not even close. Room looks like the furniture was from a second hand store, the bed was alright but terribly squeaky. Pillows less than desirable. Dogs are allowed which is a huge bonus and that is likely why the furniture is run down. Sheets weren’t changed prior to us taking the room, that was rectified with a lot of apologies. Coffee pot was broken and none of the appliances looked like they had been cleaned in quite some time except for the stove which we did not use. I’m not a tiny person by any stretch but not huge either and I could barely fit in the shower. I get that it is close to Banff and far less in cost than staying in Banff and probably worth it for a family if everyone is super comfortable and can be in tight spaces without having a family meltdown. The best thing was the fireplace..that made it cozy. Would I stay again? I don’t think so. It needs some major updates and renovations to make it more welcoming in my opinion. Having said all that? It was quiet and it is a beautiful location. Go for walk in the evening and just take a peek at the stars.

VERY rustic, which I like. Kitchen didn’t have all the utensils we needed but I get it, people steal stuff. I’ll be better prepared the next time. My only point of improvement is that if check-in time begins at 4 PM, then there should be staff on hand to receive us. I shouldn’t have to make a long distance call to ask someone to come to the office and then wait about 15 min for them to arrive. Other folks were wanting to check in, too. Also, the dog that was chained up (on a short leash) in the office had no water available. We’ll probably give them one more try before we decide if this might become a regular stop for us. I like how rustic it was.

​We had a wonderful two-night stay at Rundle Chalets. The cabin was incredibly cozy and provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. There’s something so special about waking up surrounded by the mountains. It was clean, quiet, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We’re already planning our next visit!

Room was full with fur everywhere, it strictly said outside no pets or smoke allowed inside the unit, even then people tak pets with them inside, there was fur everywhere inside.
