「Based on the pictures and ratings, I didn't realize that the structure was more like a motel and not a hotel. Meaning, you walked to your room from the outside. The walls were thin and you could hear conversations, noises from adjoining rooms. The grounds were beautiful and it was very clean, however. The AC was a noisy wall unit. I can see where most would not have a problem with a motel type atmosphere, but for us, we prefer something different.」

「Lovely place to stay in Petoskey, Michigan. It was our central location to come back to each evening after sailing in Traverse City, traveling to Mackinaw Island, or finding our way to Legs Inn through the Tunnel of Trees. We enjoyed the big porch, eating pizza with friends while we watched the sunset over the lake. Fresh cookies in our room daily! No room TV's to distract, but a nice game/TV/library room to use when you needed it. Also morning beverages available there if you were leaving...

「It's a old inn,built 1915 i think.beautiful,they have 3 floors your right in the heart of petoskey,bayview.nice breakfast goes with rooms.they do not have any elevators.you can ask the desk to help with luggage.enjoyed my visit.」
