"This is a very rundown old motel that's VERY dated. There was no kitchen service, no food, TVs weren't working, and the pool was freezing. Luckily for me, I only required a one night stay on a motorcycle trip. I won't be going back!"

"Eric was super helpful and we found this campground a delight! So close to Monarch and Salida, this was perfect for our snowboarding trip where we also wanted to enjoy town a bit too!"

"Clean rooms that are a good size so as not to feel crowded. Good value. No pool but a cute hot tub area. Really good breakfast variety and nice amenities for a great price."
"Loved this place! We stayed in a king bed cabin and it was a great room. They didn’t have anything super exciting for breakfast, looked like just cereals, pastries and bagels.
Salida is a very small town and everything closes extremely early. If that’s okay with you, or if you have to stay in Salida for something, this is a good option.
The only other con for me is they offer free early check in/late check out to those who book on their personal website, but you have to pay $15/hr if you book through a 3rd party site. I wish I had known this and I’m not sure what else I paid for because I booked on a 3rd party site. Compare their website with others and make sure all the fine print is okay with you before booking is my suggestion!"
"Great stay at a great value! It’s a super cute old roadside motel that has been nicely updated. The owners/ front desk staff were awesome, super nice and accommodating. Our room was great with a nice Mountain View out the back window. The bed and linens were very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the indoor hot tub/ sauna room. You book your time at the front desk so we had the entire space to ourselves. It was such a nice and romantic feature. The free breakfast was better than most and we loved the outdoor seating options. We will be staying here anytime we are in the area! Highly recommend!"
"Great motel in the middle of Salida. Very safe and easy to access. Breakfast was included and was good. Not in downtown, but an easy 1 mile drive or walk to all the bars and restaurants."
"The pools were lovely, clean and soaking in the river is a great experience! Our Creekside room was great! Clean, super comfortable bedding and pillows, a nice kitchenette, bathroom, fireplace, and balcony on the creek! The room itself was wonderful (minus the old, gross creamers for the Nespresso coffee) Checking in at 445 PM on a Sunday was a bit frustrating - about 12 people ahead of me to check in when I arrived and probably a dozen more who came in after me, with only two staff checking folks in. Another woman came out to help by handing everyone in line a clipboard and check-in paperwork to help speed up the process, so at least they were aware and tried doing something about it. Total check in time from when I walked in the door to getting room keys was more than 45 mins. Staff at the market/ small grocery on Monday morning answered my Hi, how are you with a "well I'm here" so, there's that. This was my second time staying at Mount Princeton and although it's a wonderful experience overall and soaking is included in the price, it's a little pricey, in my opinion (491.00 for one night/ for three people). I still do recommend staying here. If it were even just a tad less expensive, I'd stay here much more often!"
"Cute tiny house. We didn’t spend much time on property pretty much only slept here. There is a lot of wear on the inside some of the vinyl inside was coming up but doesn’t affect the stay. I wish there was a broom or something available in the cabin as there is a lot of rock around that gets dragged in. The water tastes a little weird so if you’re sensitive to that grab water from the grocery store on your way in for coffee and drinking. Otherwise great stay. Would consider staying here again."
