Location, facilities and amenities were great. Firepit, heating & electric blankets during winter made everything very cozy and comfortable. Great spot in halls gap, walking distance from shops and plenty of space around The motel to walk around Had basic amenities like microwave, bar fridge etc Lots of bugs but to be expected when you’re out in the Grampians. Pretty cool to see heaps of kangaroos around the property too

Excellent Property in Halls Gap

Located a few minutes' walk from the centre of Halls Gap. Very well located for the numerous walking trails in Halls Gap. Very helpful staff. The room in the Gariwerd was clean and comfortable with good facilities. No hesitation in recommending this property

Check in was easy - the key was in the room and the door open. Right away we knew the owners had confidence in their guests and trust was key. To access all the smart TV had to offer required more tech knowledge than we possess and the managers talked us through the process. There was a plethora of bird life at the back of the property and right near our door. Beautiful parrots, kookaburras and others. The atmosphere as relaxed and serene. Thanks Kelly and David. We enjoyed our stay.

It is an older building but in good repair and facilities were good. The shower was great and water supply was strong and could be hot. The managers are nice people who spend their time engaging with guests. I would return to Gariwerd Motel

the staff at the motel were very nice but at night when trying to sleep there were adults and kids stamping there feet hard in the communal kitchen area and in the room beside us. The bed was not comfy hard as a rock and shower over the bath is not great either.

A family with 2 young kids just stayed here for 4 nights. We found it a pleasant stay. The room is basic but has everything. The beds and pillows were in the right firm which I loved. It's a contactless service but I was promptly informed by the hosts before arrival and after check-in. Both hosts were lovely in person. Just follow the timetable at the reception to borrow books /DVDs and games. I would recommend this motel to others.

Great location close to everything, clean, comfortable, and good service. We were kindly given a room upgrade & late checkout. Only small issues were: 1. a musty smell & 2.there was a giant shelf with a light in it above the bed instead of a headboard & I hit my head on it over 5 times. The room needs to be re-arranged or that shelf needs to go. Also, don't hide the second pair or pillows - we only found them on the second night.
