「The hotel is having building work done which was not disclosed Drilling and hammering started at 730am Do not visit the hotel!! Terrible noise and no one at reception until after midday 」

「Do not use the postcode alone as it takes you further up the road to the wrong property. Only stayed for 2 nights while we did the big hike marathon but the property was very nice, it could do with a little TLC for minor things on the decor but nothing that really bothered us. Very close to Bakewell & a lovely pub over the road with nice food & service. Bit tight on parking but we managed to get on no problem. All in all a lovely stay & would like to return again.」

「The property was in the least to say grubby and I shudder to think what the hotel inspector with white gloves on the tv would make of the hotel The front of house personal wore the same clothes for the duration of our stay and everything she did seemed to be an effort」

「Good location, good price. Looks lovely from outside. However, inside, carpets needs cleaning as our feet were sticking to it. Kids room light was flickering, twice approached different members of staff but nothing was done. Not enough mugs in the room (only 2 in a family room).」

「Stayed here for one night. Was given the Honeymoon Suite which was amusing. Room was in roof of the hotel and was unbelievably hot, even with velux windows open. Was given 2 fans which didnt give out any airflow even though they were on full speed. Massive bath but nothing to put in it with the water. Room cooled down by about 2am. I'm sorry but breakfast was awful (scrambled egg that was white and sausages that were rubber). Bed was comfortable enough and staff were cheerful and helpful.」

「This is a great place to stay. Beautiful building and grounds. Friendly staff, good cafe and comfortable bed. Great location for local walks. WiFi hit and miss so no TV for the England game 😉 but wouldn't have bothered us otherwise. Thank you for a nice overnight stay.」
