Really really good stay in such a characterful property . Spotlessly clean, very comfortable and really hospitable staff team. Brilliant breakfast cooked to order and gluten free was no problem at all. Enjoyed evening bar food alongside chatting with the team; friendly too. Recommend

The food was good and the wine reasonably priced. We had dinner on the Monday and the restaurant was busy. A good sign! Good breakfast too. Plenty of outdoor seating and plenty of parking available. Staff were helpful and pleasant.

The location is wonderful and it was very quiet at night. However, there was a bright light close to the window and no black-out curtains, so too light in the room for my liking. The breakfast was nice, but the poached egg was overcooked. The scrambled eggs looked nice though. Staff were very friendly.

Our stay was a journey down memory lane for me. The hotel was still lovely and popular, the room was clean and albeit small as a twin, it was in keeping with such a historic building and the lady on the bar, who checked us in couldn’t be more welcoming. The kitchen even catered amazingly for a veggie and a vegan option breakfast. The hotel is centrally located for the beautiful village of Eyam’s history trail, tea rooms and local walks with good parking facilities.
