Finding the hotel was a bit challenging at first because the map location on the Expedia app and Google Maps is incorrect. It is not listed as Moon Halo Hotel on Google, you’ll need to search for Moon Bay Ha Long Hotel, which is located near Tuan Chau International Marina. Once we figured that out, it was much easier to find. When we arrived, the staff informed us that they weren’t actually supposed to be listed online at the moment and were not accepting guests, so he was quite surprised to see us. We really appreciated that he still honored our booking and allowed us to stay. We booked a suite room for only $15, which was supposed to include breakfast. Unfortunately, breakfast wasn’t provided due to the listing situation, but honestly, the accommodation was so comfortable and spacious that we didn’t mind too much. Ha Long was very quiet during our visit, we were actually the only two guests in the hotel! If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this might be a good time to visit. but it was also a bit tricky to find food nearby because many restaurants and shops were closed at the time.
