Top Grote Markt Hotel Reviews
Amrâth Grand Hotel Frans Hals
10/10 Excellent
"The staff at the front desk were wonderful The bathroom tiles could use a good cleaning"
Ambassador City Centre Hotel
8/10 Good
"Very clean. Staff were fantastic and very attentive. We did not have breakfast but did enjoy an evening Meal- it did not disappoint. We didn’t see any families there so can’t comment, but there were children in the Restaurant with their families and they were well-behaved.We changed our room due it looking ‘tired’ and in need of some upgrading and warmth(we don’t mean heat). We were given another room without any quibbles and a free drinks Voucher. We felt very safe. Loved the Cafe style Bar/Patio area, where you could relax under the ambient lighting with heaters under the shades and cosy cushions to plonk your tired body on. We enjoyed a well earned drink after hours of walking our socks off, exploring many cobbled streets that had exciting shops/bars and many other delights. The Dutch were so friendly and I was impressed with the amount that spoke very good English. I’m sorry we couldn’t reciprocate with the Dutch Language! I would definitely visit the area again as we couldn’t fit it all in and what’s the point of rushing when you’re on a break, just means there’s a reason to go back! I found the general atmosphere calm, relaxed and nothing was too much trouble for the Staff. I would of liked to give a 5* rating but the “5th” star on my phone screen wouldn’t show as the print was too big and I couldn’t make it smaller to press number 5. Thank you Ambassador!"
Hotel Lion d'Or
10/10 Excellent
"Nice hotel, closely located to the train station."
Spaarnwoude Park Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"I stayed for 14 days due to some work. The hotel is amazing, very clean and quite. Very nice location !"
Carlton Square Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We experienced an excellent 3 day break for 2. Nice clean room, friendly staff, dinner menu quite restricted but delicious - Chef's special a must. The hotel was perfect for visiting the area, inland or beach a bus drive away. Quiet surroundings in a fairly built up area but away from the bustle of Amsterdam. Reasonably priced for such a good quality hotel. Just note, when checking out you'll be hit with a "City Tax" Worth asking what this will be when you arrive. Apart from that, all good."
Van der Valk Hotel Haarlem

"Staff was helpful and hotel was very clean and quiet."

ibis Styles Haarlem City
10/10 Excellent
"Clean comfortable room with great breakfast choices and friendly helpful staff. Being British we would have liked tea & coffee making facilities in our room, but this was available in the foyer. The hotel is located 10mins walk from a bus stop, and 10- 15mins walk from Bloemendal station. Car parking is available for those driving."
Amadeus Hotel
8/10 Good
"The room was basic but very clean. The showers are VERY hot, make sure you turn the cold water on first or you will struggle to turn the hot off. Staff very pleasant. The communal areas such as the lift and stairways were less clean and had a quite unpleasant smell at times. The bar was very cluttered and I struggle to see how it can be effectively cleaned. The location was excellent. A short walk from the station and close to central amenities and activities."
