It was only a short 10 minute walk to central Newport and if you walk 5 more minutes you will be at the bus station which will take you everywhere you need to go. The room lacked decoration but that was something I expected as the facility is used to house students. I did have a bathroom, so that was a pleasant surprise! The staff was incredibly helpful and polite. I would 100% stay here again! "

"Wagon was in a lovely location on a farm and owner was very nice, once I managed to find the farm , but checking in time or instructions would have been helpful . Bed was comfortable and I did appreciate the tea, sugar and milk provided , but the room itself was quite cold -with one tiny inadequate heater . Bathroom was also very cold and smelled very damp and unfortunately the toilet seat was loose and shooting off to one side. "

We parked a short distance away at the ASDA car park, which was reasonably priced via the JustPark app. Helpful owners & excellent communication. "ALL the staff were great. The table service at the Merlin bar was very slow. But it was busy. They only had 1 lift (out of 3)working that day which made us get our steps in. Food was amazing! But I do not like , and The Manor is not alone in this, that a service charge is added automatically to our bill. The golf experience was great. Lifts to and from the courses all complimentary, and there is also the added bonus of free charging at the outside carpark, and plenty of them too! I had a great time her. Loved my room and the bath! "

"The room was clean and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was decent, though the menu could have had more fresh options. The bar had a reasonable selection of drinks. However, the bed was noticeably dented/sagging in the middle, which made sleeping quite uncomfortable. A new mattress or at least better support would make a big difference. Overall the property is fine, but the bed quality needs attention."

"Hotel reception manager was lovely and helpful during our stay. Room was okay, average and clean enough - though it had a smell (possibly from the bathroom) when we entered so we aired the room out. Downside was how thin the walls were / how loud the other guests were on a Saturday night. The noises kept us up from late evening to around 2am."

"The room was very clean, but very tired. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls the lights in the bathroom were flickering loads and took ages to turn on. The bath was very chipped and when you ran the taps the water leaked all across the top of the bath. The bed had lovely bedding but the bed was way too soft and ended up with snacking back in the morning. Room very hot as well."

"We have just returned from a two day stay at Two Rivers, Chepstow. Our room was small but clean. The room was next to the entrance door and we experienced a lot of noise when the door opened and closed. My husband twice requested an extra pillow but it never materialised. We ate in the restaurant on both nights. The food was very nice but we had to chase the waitress for our desserts on both occasions. "
