Pros -The resort is beautiful. The maid service and food were great. The check-in and concierge staff were excellen as well.The typical tourist excursions were available. Nightly resort entertainment ok. Cons - There was not much to see or do outside of the resort. The resort beach area was small and rocky. no hotel provided transport for short distances, some staff not welcoming, ATM was out of order for several days. Limited paper napkins available, water and ice should be available without having to request from the bar. Also, a very limited liquor selection-choices were on the low end. This is a lovely place, but Marriott should do more to elevate the experience.

Resort 10/10. They have swim up cabanas available but they reserve days in advance. If you do a swim up room they come with two queen beds or one king state your preference.

After enjoying stays at two other fantastic hotels in St. Lucia during my recent trip, I opted to spend one night at the Royalton due to its proximity to the Jazz festival. However, from the moment I arrived, it was nothing short of a nightmare. Despite arriving earlier than the 3 pm check-in time, I was assured by the reception team that my room would be prepared promptly. As they gathered my details, a guest at the front desk was already complaining about the poor condition of her room, which was the first red flag. After waiting for two hours, I returned to the front desk at 3 pm only to be informed that my room still wasn't ready. Over the next three hours, the front desk repeatedly told me to wait just another 15 minutes, without providing any accurate information or clear timeline. Meanwhile, multiple other guests approached the front desk with complaints about their rooms, including one couple whose ceiling was leaking and eventually caved in, resulting in them wasting half a day waiting for another room. Due to the excessively long wait, I ended up missing the event I had paid to attend. The room itself was quite basic and had a strange clinical, clammy smell. Despite boasting about the room being stocked with drinks, the fridge only contained two small Piton beers, with no water in sight. The only redeeming qualities of the hotel were its communal amenities such as the pool, basketball court, and bars. Would I consider returning? Absolutely not! I would recommend b
