Upon arrival check-in went smooth and our room was immediately ready. It had just been cleaned (the floors were still wet) but they allowed us in. The oceanfront king was nice- basic, clean and met our needs. Breakfast buffet was $55 USD and just average. Coffee was often cold and we had to ask for a fresh pot. Cafe with gourmet coffees opens at 10 (why not 7?!!) Gift shop advertised being open 9-5 but was literally never open. Lunch and dinner were overpriced ‘buffet only’ some days, even though there is an a la carte menu advertised. Servers weren’t friendly or eager to help. Front desk, tour desk and housekeeping staff were kind and friendly. Pool towels were hardly ever available which was really annoying. Please just buy more towels. The worst part of the stay was the constant harassment on the beach from locals selling everything under the sun. It was so excessive that you could not relax for five minutes. No thank you worked for most people. However the “Coconut man” was extremely aggressive. A simple “no thank you“ wasn’t enough. He then tried to intimidate us to at least give him a tip (for nothing) and when I told him absolutely not, he threatened us by saying “you don’t want to disappoint the island man” with a machete in his hand. Apparently security can’t or won’t say anything? Provide as advertised, teach food staff customer service skills and please, if possible, do something about the thug on the beach!

Beautiful hotel friendly,polite and exceptional service from all the staff.The resort has its own private beach and restaurant bar facilities. Recommend watch you tube video of hotel. 5 mins drive from Rodney bay marina Where the boat trip excursion's depart from. They have a complimentary shuttle bus service between the 4 sister hotels in Gros Let. Rooms are lovely and spacious and Well cleaned . Chrystal was amazing in greeting us on our arrival. Thanks again Bay Gardens Resiort see you next year again.

The beach view was great. The bar was average. Didn't even have chocolate liquor. Staff was kind but management was poor and unhelpful bordering on rude. Towel shack was consistently unmanned. Food pricing was ridiculous. Xmas lunch buffet. $80us each for Spaghetti, cake, salad, some dry pig and turkey left overs. The price they quoted me was 2x what they charged me.. I thought SLD. Christmas dinner came out room temp. Difficult to even have them keep water glasses full. At 8:30AM, all the pool chairs has towels laid on them to claim but people werent in them 50% of the time+. The jazuzzi was broken the whole 5 days. Xmas. Pretty poor planning. With all the kid advertising, we couldnt even find a ball. Their store has virtually nothing.----Not like any "Resort" I've seen. We spent a lot of money for 5 days. Pretty disappointing. The transfer to UVF, they charged me 10% to put on my bill. Pretty cheap. Elevated it to the Duty Mgr. Useless. Shared with the GM --about as useless. Didnt care---said, that is your opinion.

Our stay at the Bay Gardens Resort was overall good. A shout out to Nikel at the HighTide restaurant for his amazing and professional management of his team. It was notable the difference on the days he was off.

Bay Gardens Beach Resort provided a relaxing couple day stay in the Rodney Bay area. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and the air conditioning quiet. A major downside was not knowing the resort was undergoing construction when I booked a garden room. The balcony view was a construction site next door. It was unexpected and we would have paid for an upgraded room if it were offered or we had known in advance. We had half board (breakfast and dinner included) for two nights. Dinner included a drink per person, appetizer, main, and dessert. Great breakfast! Your credit card doesn't remain on file so anything purchased separately needs to be paid at time of sale. It was just a little quirky. We still settled a bill for tips from dinners at the end of the stay. I had an issue with the supposedly FREE mon-motorized Walter-Sport available to guests: stand up paddle board or hobie cat. The owner questioned our sailing ability (like demanded to know our sailing resume) for the hobie cat and yelled at her staff for not putting a life jacket in the right spot. We pointed to our national regatta competition shirt. She sneered anyone can buy a shirt. We sailed the hobie cat in the bay 1.25 hours (fun) and got yelled at (seriously) when we came back for being late when we said at the beginning we didn't have a watch & the attendant put her hand out for a tip for handing in our life vests. The resort needs a much friendlier water sport vendor.
Garden view room. Definitely upgrade to pool view or beach view or call ahead to ask.
Delicious buffet breakfast with pool and beach views.

I was in a room with a restricted view, scaffolding; became aware at bedtime when closing the bedroom curtains. Raised this with the hotel in the morning. Informed the scaffolding should have been taken down and thus would be done this same day, Sunday. Also told there was not another available ground floor suite. I was offered 2 free massages as apology. Sunday came and went, scaffolding nit removed. Approached hurtling management in Monday, agencies it would be taken down. I also raised concentrate when ht trained ( and we are in the rainy season, we couldn’t use the patio as the roof buckled, cascading water shuck covered the patio as well as table and chairs. Despite raising my concern, both verbally and in messages neither the scaffolding or patio was addressed. In fact the scaffolding was not removed and remained blocking my view until I left the Bay Gardens Beach Resort after 5 nights. I found out that the scaffolding was there because the outside was being painted and that work had not been completed and painters were still there when I left.I declined the massages. I was disappointed having stayed at the Bay Gardens on previous occasions. My experienced was not good considering I booked months in advance to be there to celebrate my 70th birthday. I did not hear anything from the management and have not since. A very disappointing experience and being lied to only made it worse.
