He told me to sit down and enjoy lunch on him (he owns a restaurant by the same name)The owner charged me full price for my room and charged me for lunch- he never gave me a bill). "Absolutely wonderful experience. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is made up of several cave-houses, which gives you a very unique experience. Our room was very spacious, with a sitting area separate from the bedroom. Another sitting area outside your door on the courtyard is a great place to enjoy a night-cap. Matera has to be seen at night to be appreciated, and the Corte San Pietro hotel is right in the middle of it, providing an excellent experience. "
