「We had a wonderful stay at the Alpha Hotel. The hosts are lovely and helpful. Breakfast was nice. There are two small markets in the area in case you want to grab some snacks. There is a bus stop nearby and a town where you can catch a train to Zermatt for example. There is a small play house on the property which includes a slide and some swings if you are traveling with little ones . Overall we would definitely stay here again.」

「I don’t usually leave reviews but this hotel was so incredible that I want to! The restaurant, for dinner, was some of the best food I’ve eaten in my life. The owners are so engaged and wonderful. The staff were so kind and helpful. The room was spotless, comfortable, and with the most amazing shower! Plus, I’m so glad we stayed in Grachen over Zermatt. 「Hotel Matthiol is located in a quiet area which takes around 15 mintues by the hotel shuttle bus. We have the fondue for dinner inside an outdoor transparent tent which is very special and romantic. The service of the staff is excellent. It takes around 10 mins walk from the hotel to the downtown and cable car to the Matterhorn. The view from the balcony of our room is just fine since it’s not facing to the Matterhorn. The only required improvement is the water leakage problem of the shower...

「Wonderful, quaint family owned hotel. Everything you need with the kindest staff. We checked in late night- be sure to mention it to the staff and they helped us with so many details in our short stay. Our only hesitation was a concern that after reading some reviews the hotel might be further from the main downtown area in Zermatt- psssh, perfect location just a short walk (and thats from a suburbanite american) from everything. 「Phenomenal living space in a phenomenal location and phenomenally we'll run by Frau Bauer. We were lucky enough to get this apartment when the previous renter unexpectedly had to cancel. Four large bedrooms, four modern and well equipped bathrooms, in floor heating, a great kitchen, a magnificent dining area with ample seating for 8 to 12 people two terraces, an incredible view of the Matterhorn, and a private elevator to both floors of this unit make this one of the best spaces my family has...
