The room had a musty odor. The bathroom had a different odor. Location was best part We always stay in Mt Pleasant due to central location to IOP, Folly and Downtown Charleston. "Upon arrival, the hotel did not look very inviting, but since we had a reservation, we decided to check in. Unfortunately, the staff was extremely rude from the start—no eye contact, spoke very quietly, and behaved in an unfriendly manner. He requested documents from my wife and child, which I had never experienced before. When I went to get them from the car, his attitude became even more disrespectful, creating an uncomfortable situation in front of my family and other guests. We felt so unwelcome that we decided to leave and stay elsewhere. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had, even before the stay began. Also, Expedia did not refund me."

"This is a good place for motorists to stop for a night. But this is not for families. Especially with kids. I believed in the stupid 10/10 rating shown on Google and booked it. But the place is very unsafe for kids. The railings on the first floor were too big that any kid can fall through them. The stairs are not good either. The location seemed a bit sketchy too. And, I wish they had a microwave. I mean, it would cost half of a night's charge to place a microwave in the room."
